New Horizons Community Church New Horizons is a contemporary Christian church in the Northwest looking for a full-time Youth Pastor. We have over 50 youth and are seeking a youth pastor candidate with a passion and calling specifically to youth ministry! Candidate must be willing to make at least a five year commitment. Salary offered is between $25,000 - $32,500 depending on completed education and years of experience. Please review church membership covenant on our website (Membership.shtml) before applying. Candidate must be willing to meet church membership requirements. The following is required, in order to apply: 1) An unquestionable sense of "calling" into full-time Youth Ministry. 2) A passion for unchurched youth and ability to outreach and minister to them. 3) A willingness to invest your life in seeing youth come to Christ and to disciple them into spiritual maturity and effective ministry. 4) The ability to motivate, recruit and train adult youth leaders to assist in youth ministry. 5) Must be young at heart, innovative & have a contemporary spirit – not bound by traditional programs, but a willingness to attempt new ideas and methods in reaching youth (churched and unchurched.) 6) Prefer musical background/experience, with ability to either lead or oversee a youth band and youth worship service. 7) Excellent teaching abilities, event planning and relational skills (group & one-on-one). 8) Administrative and computer skills required, proficient in Microsoft office. 9) For full-time position - BA degree in Youth Ministry or equivalent formalized training required. 10) If degree not completed, position would be part-time while continuing their education. Full time employment would be considered upon graduation. 11) If married, spouse must be in total agreement and supportive of youth ministry position requirements.
